Development

We know carrying unsupported weight puts strain on the back, increasing the risk for injury.  For that reason, we have designed and are developing the AdaptiveSpine as a supportive device transferring weight and stress to the hips saving your back.

Our patented AdaptiveSpine™ starts with two designs, the "Strong" for maximum support + stability, and the "Lite" for light support + flexibility.

Design 1 [ X-Shape]

The AdaptiveSpineStrong is a robust design with lower and upper back support for maximum weight distribution downward. This gives you the ability to safely stack higher.

-The lower back (lumbar) bow-like shape provides support when standing, carrying, and lifting. When bending the bow adjusts the support downward placing it on the beltline, where most back injuries happen. When raising back up, the bow returns to it's original arc shape returning the support back to the lumbar curve.

-The upper back design also provides support and stability directing any upper weight downward. The stability allows the user to stack weight higher past their shoulders without the weight pulling back.

-The X-like flex area is opened to allow shoulders to twist comfortably.

-2 stabilizer wings at the top below the neck, and 2 bottom wings at the hips are placed to maintain alignment and integration to apparel.

Design 2 [ Y-Shape ]

The AdaptiveSpineLite is a lighter design with the same lower back support for weight distribution downward, as the robust model.

-The lower back (lumbar) bow-like shape provides support when standing, carrying, and lifting. When bending the bow adjusts the support downward placing it on the belt line. When raising back up, the bow returns to it's original arc shape returning the support back to the lumbar curve.

-The upper shape provides light support but adds maximum flexibility of the shoulders and arms.

-The Y-like flex upper area is designed for shoulders twisting comfortably left and right. This design allows for more upper body movement and open breathability, ideal for carrying low weight and the need to move faster.

-2 stabilizer wings at the tips of the "Y" shape top, and 2 bottom wings around the hips help maintain alignment and integration to apparel.
